Setup ADSL for Siemens Gigaset SE567 Modem

Setup ADSL for Siemens Gigaset SE567 Modem

  1. Plug your phone line with ADSL into the modem.

  2. Plug an ethernet cable into port 1 of your modem.

  3. Please set up your static ip (give to you by SmarttNet) on your computer. Here is a quick guide:

NOTE: There is one more setting you need to add after setting up your static ip.
In the Internet Protocol Properties window, click on "Advanced..." button on the bottom right.
Click the first "Add" button for IP addresses.

Add the IP: 192.168.254.250 and Subnet: 255.255.255.0 to your list.
Click Add > Ok > Ok > Ok. Until all your windows are closed.

  1. Open up a Browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox), and in the address bar (where you type www.somethign.com) remove everything and type:

192.168.254.254 and press enter.

5.You should see a welcome screen that looks something like this:

Press Next

 

Create a password for your modem (you will not need to remember this after configuration, its just for security purposes)
Press Next.

 

Skip the ISP password screen and just press next.

 

Disable time client and set your time zone. Click next.

 

Disable Wireless Interface. Click Next.

Then Click finish.

Do not click Surf Now just yet.. press Continue instead (We still have 1 more setting to configure)

Click on the big ISP Connection Icon on the left menu.

 

Now, Click on Advanced Settings button on the bottom.

 

Choose Configure ATM virtual circuit.

 

Remove all items from the list by clicking delete button next to each one.
Then click "Add a new VC from the bottom"

 

VPI: 0 VCI: 33
Encapsulation type is LLC (default) and leave the rest as it was.

 

Select Bridged. And click Finish.

 

Now you can click reboot.

And the final Reboot button.

 

Congratulations!! You have configured your Modem.

Wait 1 minute until the DSL light is done blinking and is on, (Internet light doesn't need to be on)
Now try browsing, if it doesn't work, hit the refresh button a few times
If you're still having problems, please restart your computer.
